As a licensed Marvel artist, Robert depicts iconic scenes with the help of his trusty pencil. He uses a method called hatching, whereby he shades with closely-drawn parallel lines to imply shade, tone and texture.
This scene is taken from the classic 1931 film, Frankenstein, which has been described as the most iconic horror film in history. Directed by James Whale, it stars Boris Karloff as the monster created by Dr.Frankenstein, a scientist who desires to create life using corpses and electricity. The film is noted for several controversial scenes (being released before the Motion Picture Production Code in 1934), but that didn't put off cinema-goers! By June 1932, the film had earned $1.4 million.
